BlackHawke is the eldest son of The Lord of BlackHawke, the Benevolent Protector of the Land of Riga. When BlackHawke was 11, a Mage named Coldoran attempted to subdue the Province of Riga in the Land of Ulma as his own. BlackHawke was able to thwart the effort but not without paying a severe price. The Lord was killed almost instantly when he refused to submit and turn over his lands after offering the hospitality of the Castle to Coldoran. BlackHawke's mother was turned into a pillar of herself and remains in the Castle to this day. BlackHawke places a single red rose at the foot of the pedestal every morning that he is home. When he is away, his younger brother. Kodar does it for him. The irony of this is that Kodar's dream in life is to be a Powerful Mage in the image of Coldoran. And Kodar practices magic as an apprentice to the Magician Aldoran. BlackHawke's sister, Marian, dived in front of him just before the Mage threw a Spell of Change turning his sister into a small look-alike of a Silver Dragon. With the Mage weakened from this spell, and in a instant BlackHawke swung his sword killing and decapitating the Mage and gaining the hate of his brother Kodar who has sworn to revenge the death. BlackHawke carries his sister with him in a pouch to this day.

Physically, BlackHawke is muscular, strong of grip, and very quick. Tends to favor his right side and hears exceptionally well. He drinks no alcohol and usually eats only meat and bread and some occasional fruit. Tends to be very religious and this could some times distract him from his goal.
